Street Banner Days 2023

On Friday and Saturday next, May 12 and 13, the annual display of the work of our banner painters will be on display at the Town Hall it’s the opportunity to choose banners for the summer display. The sessions run from 10am to 5pm, and are strictly on a first come first served basis.

We’ve introduced some changes this year which we hope will  speed up the process and reduce the queues.

Demand for banners is high, and we’ve introduced rules and guidelines to attempt to make the best possible use of those we have and to try to help those who live further away from the town centre. For further information, see our web site .

As part of Tewkesbury Library’s history events series, Wednesday 17th May, there will be a display of banners and their story through the day, with a talk about the heraldry of our street banners at 7.30 in the evening. This is a free event, in the main library room.

If all goes to plan, banners will be put up on Sunday June 11th.
